How can you ask about credit or RPL?

Use evidence of learning rather than promises about speed.

Credit transfer and recognition of prior learning are different processes. Formal unit records can support credit transfer. RPL assesses skills and knowledge developed through experience. A provider needs enough suitable evidence to make a decision.

What should you prepare?

Ask how confidential records can be handled before sharing them. Do not assume years of experience or an older qualification automatically cover every unit. Get the outcome and remaining study plan in writing.

How should you map evidence to the diploma?

Start with the provider’s six core and six elective codes. Put your formal study records beside the units for which you seek credit. For RPL, ask the assessor which evidence of your own work is suitable and how it will be assessed. A job title or years in management alone does not decide the result.

What should the written outcome explain?

Ask which units are recognised, what evidence is still needed, and which gaps require training or assessment. Request the remaining timetable, recognition charges and gap-training costs before comparing this route with a full course. Recognition does not guarantee a fast finish or a particular saving.
